DNNC Steps to Success 2017 Gala
DNNC Steps To Success helps low-income single mothers procure employment and alleviate health hardships while providing living wages. With a focus on African American women and parents, we train women in nail care to build their financial literacy, learn entrepreneurship, and develop professional and social skills. It is our vision to disrupt generational poverty and provide a sustainable, empowered future for vulnerable women and children.
DNNC Steps to Success thanks you for attending our first Annual Gala. We had an amazing turnout and raised over $17,000 in donations for our campaign! Your support has played such a vital role in the success of our program. We truly appreciate you!
With your contributions, we will send more single mothers on a career path to success with scholarships to cosmetology school. We will, just as importantly, continue providing social skills training for more women and children, and enroll our participants in parenting classes, financial literacy courses, and mentorship programs. Your generosity and support is an encouraging reminder of why this program was started — to support single mothers, like Michelle, with housing, transportation, and basic necessities that will enrich her family’s life and create a bridge to a more successful future.
As a result of the support and donations of 2017 DNNC Steps to Success was able to gift a car to a single mother of two this Christmas season. We could not have done this without you.
