Vocational training

Scholarships toward a professional license

DNNC Steps to Success offers scholarships and training for women and single parents who want to become manicurists or cosmetologists. The program works in partnership with Delane’s Natural Nail Care, where participants practice in a working salon.

  • Manicurist and cosmetology pathways
  • Medical pedicurist training, a specialty that can lead to a thriving wage in the Bay Area
  • Internships and job-readiness training
  • State license exam preparation
  • Support toward job placement and, for some, salon ownership
